Upon return to Malaysia, Su-Lin joined Subang Jaya Medical Centre (now known as Sime Darby HealthCare) as an Administrative Resident, learning the ropes of hospital administration before being promoted as Director of the Division of Ancillary (Allied) Health Services. During this time, she developed the – then new private hospital from its 60-bedded single tower block to a five-building, 350-bedded entity and established Sunway Medical Centre as a recognized provider of acute tertiary-level medical care. The physical expansion of the hospital was planned and designed within the context of the affiliation between the hospital and the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine & Health Sciences, Monash University Sunway Campus – working towards the later development of a fully-fledged Academic Health Sciences Centre. Sunway Medical Centre is reputed for its adoption of innovative medical technologies and its commitment to medical education & research.

Su-Lin was the leader of the Healthcare National Key Economic Area (NKEA) ‘lab’ in 2010, and was subsequently appointed as the NKEA Industry Advisor to the Minister of Health for the nation’s Health Economic Transformation Programme.

Su-Lin is currently the Managing Director of Prince Court Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
