THE LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE
Details
INSPIRING LEADERSHIPLeadership is the process of encouraging and helping others to work enthusiastically towards objectives. It is the human factor that helps a group identify where it is going and then motivates it towards its goals. Without leadership an organization consists only of a group of uncoordinated people and machines. It is likened to an orchestra without a conductor to lead it. An organization requires leadership to develop and stretch its resources to the maximum. Leadership transforms potential into reality.

EFFECTIVE SUPERVISORY SKILLS
DetailsDownsizing, reengineering, rapid growth and new technology in the retail sector are placing more demands on employees at all levels to confront the challenges of change. In response to these demands, the supervisors of today need to strive beyond the traditional job descriptions and scope.
The supervisors, in meeting these challenges, need to become more flexible and versatile, not just in terms of skills but also in the reinvention of the mindset.
This program aims to recharge the supervisory team: to reinvent themselves, evaluate their current practices for improvement, deal effectively with people and step out of the box for a refreshing perspective on managing their operations.
Recharging the supervisory personnel begins with the understanding of the changing mindset needed to meet new challenges. It involves dealing with oneself, dealing with others in the work environment and being innovative in resolving work problems.

CRISIS MANAGEMENT
DetailsCrisis management is simply a plan that works to minimize the potential damage of a crisis, and in some cases can be effective in eliminating a potential crisis altogether. It is a two-pronged exercise created by the crisis management team (CMT). The first is the crisis management plan, and the second is the crisis communications plan. Together they form the most potent prescription for protection against crisis failure.
The single most important factor in surviving a crisis is having previously earned a substantial amount of goodwill from your clients, your employees, stakeholders and stockholders, as well as other community leaders. Equally important is the establishment of a "crisis culture" within your organization that deals with: crisis planning, crisis preparation, communications and evaluation after a crisis.
Crisis management is no longer only for those assigned to the task; it is for each and every person. Every experience of a disaster has shown how ordinary people have to rise to the challenges of a crisis, from securing the site of the incident and appraising the ground, to handling the media’s demands. Above all, crisis management efforts should be directed towards helping the organization recover and rise from the embers of the crisis and ensure continuity.
